The Ranapara Gram Bikash Kendra was established in 1996 by a group of dedicated social activities of Amta-I Block with a view to undertake development initiatives in the locality especially for empowerment of women and children, aged and other underprevileged sections of socio-economically backward communities. The society is Registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act. XXVI of 1961. It is also registered under section 12A of the Income Tax Act. 1961 and exempted U/S 80G of Income Tax Act. 1961. Registration under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976. The activities of the society is managed by a duly constituted Executive Committee consisting of 9 members and office bearers. The Secretary is the Chief functionary of the society.
Since inception it has been involved in the spheres of Rural Development and Social Action Programmes in the backward villages at Amta-I Block, District - Howrah for Socio-economic Development of rural weaker section of public by involving village level peoples action groups, women self-help groups, youth groups. Following activities had been organised and implemented during last four years since inception.
